Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Crazy Colour Challenge – Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake
I have the most amazing team ever. They’re based in the UK, Germany, France and The Netherlands and are a wonderful mixture of Happy Hobbyists, Demonstrating Demonstrators (!) and some are a bit between the 2!
We have a great time together in my facebook group – supporting and cheering one another on, and sharing so many projects.
I ‘talk’ to my team every couple of days via private video and love that I can interact with them all so well on a very frequent basis.
I give business ideas, encouragement, updates, anything. But of course, because I have a team that includes those who aren’t business building, I like to make sure they’re included. So last week I gave them the challenge of grabbing 2 random colours and working with them.
In fact, I recently chatted on Periscope about it!
I usually spin my ink caddy and grab a colour, then spin it again. I don’t necessarily work with the actual inks, but more the colours themselves.
So I ended up pulling out Bermuda Bay and Chocolate Chip. Except when I came to accepting my own challenge, I managed to miss out the Chocolate Chip part completely….
With Bermuda Bay I used some of the DSP background stack, a little cardstock and a trio of candy dots.
Where the chocolate chip went I’ve no idea, but I rather like it over black and crumb cake!
My challenge to you today is to grab a couple of colours and just run with it!

Such a great card Sam.
Lol! In other words you cheated Sam, by changing the 2nd colour and adding black, that’s naughty, naughty very naughty!
As someone who will be somewhere between a HH and a DD, which leaves ‘E’ ‘F’ or ‘G’, I’ll settle for being a Groovy Grafter.
I like your cheat challenge colour combo Sam, but I’m off to play with BB and CC – the inks too 😉 …….
The card turned out beautiful! I don’t yet have all the colors and am worried I might royally mess it up! But I think I am brave enough to accept this challenge and just see…..who knows. It could change everything!
Thank you for stirring things up!
Sam, I was commenting to a friend the other day that Bermuda Bay is one of my favorite shades of green/blue because it reminds me of those gorgeous Mexican Pacific waters on the beaches we’ve visited before, you hit it right on the nose, my dear, combining Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake, the sea and the sand, ahh!! I would love to be there right NOW!!
Thank you for the challenge, I’ve never randomly picked colors but this is a great idea to stir the imagination, I’ll see what I can come up with.
Great idea. Love the card and the colours.
This color combo is amazing!!!
