Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – English Garden Watercolour Words
Well following on from yesterday’s video showing how I use the watercolour Aqua Painters, I wanted to share the cheats way to watercolour words…. Because of course, there always is a way to cheat in crafting!
The gorgeous English Garden designer series paper has very much a watercolour feel to it, and in particular this pattern with the large blue flowers and crumb cake leaves. I really wanted to show off this particular pattern and as I looked at it more and more I knew that I could get the sentiment perfectly suited by using our Watercolour Words stamp sets. Yes, that’s not hand painted, but stamped!
We all love a quick cheat method and I’m not shy about saying that!
A little twist of linen thread and a button and done!
Easy peasy and quick too. Oh and check back tomorrow for the same style of card but looking quite different…!

I must say…this particular sheet of the English Garden DSP is one that can stand alone. Not really much one can do to dress it up. Just a sentiment stamped, stamped and embossed, or just an embossed sentiment. Ok maybe a couple of sequins! But over all, this particular design stood alone, on my cards!
Lovely card and paper.
Beautiful card!!
Lovely card but needed a blue button. x
just love this card Sam x
That’s cheating… you should paint the flowers yourself! 🙂 Love the colours though xx
Lovely! I could see using this DSP to make sets of cards for craft fairs or as gifts. Maybe make a matching box or folder to put the cards in. Would be easy and requires just a few supplies. Thank you so much for sharing your designs!
