Yay! It’s blog hop day! And we have got a wild and wonderful colour palette for you today! The team did laugh at me when I vehemently stated that I would not be using Tangerine Tango! Orange is so not me, and there are some tests that even I struggle with, so I put my design foot down and we agreed that it’s okay to use some or all of the colours rather than an insistence. Phew!
We also do have a few of us that saw one of the colours as Sahara Sand and some of us saw it as Smoky Slate. You decide!
My card is one that is touching my heart right now. God is Love. Last week saw my wonderful Mum, who you know is a huge support to me, go into hospital for a hip replacement. She’s been in constant pain for the best part of 2 years now, and just 4 weeks ago we decided to bypass the NHS and go Private and in a very short space of time, she was booked in and her hip was replaced.
That morning I sat in my car after dropping off the children and prayed that the surgeon’s hands would be precise. That the theatre staff would be well rested and attentive and without problems that may have overflowed into work. Later that day when I went to visit Mum she told me that as she was wheeled into the anaesthetic room she saw a familiar face. An old colleague of hers that she’d worked with was there (Mum is a former theatre nurse herself, although in an NHS hospital) and they were able to get a few moments together before she went off to sleep. She told me how comforted she was by that. So God was watching over her. Her operation went well and while in considerable pain, it’s a different pain. The start of being pain free I guess.
So God is Love. Always watching and always listening.

Hi Sam
How are you and family? I am praying for you and your Mum and family.
Keep the Faith, God is Good All the Time
Take care,
What an adorable, sweet, clean & fresh looking card. Love all the layers to add the dimension. Just so lovely.
A lovely card and an even lovelier story.
Hope your Mom is continuing to improve and that you are able to find time to visit her and help with her recovery. My mom recently broke her neck and although she was in the hospital , the healing was very slow. She is still not completely healed but I have been able to find time to stay with her for weeks at a time (I live 800 km away from her). Faith and time, love and caring……. what else can we give……… Take care of her and yourself.
Beautiful card and sentiment. Praying for you and your mum. Take care.
Wishing your mother a speedy recovery, words truly meant. Thank you for all you do for us too.
Sam, thank you so much for using your blog to not only share your love for card making, but also your faith. God puts us all here for a reason. It’s HIS plan, not necessarily our plan. He is allowing you to follow your dream with crafting and giving you this forum to show your love for him. There are people who have never heard about God or planted his seed. You are doing that here. Thank you and bless you. We also need to be reminded that we need to talk to him not only in our time of need. Feeling VERY blessed by this card today. Warm hugs from Indiana.
