Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – At First Sight we are Forever Friends!
Ah, the elegance of heat embossing mixed with regular stamping. There’s something gorgeous about it isn’t there? I don’t know if it’s the shine that catches the light or the contrast of the ‘flat’ stamping with the slightly raised shiny parts. I’m not sure, but I do love to do heat embossing!
I decided to add a simple panel of Vellum with the wording. I didn’t want to over do the vellum part, so I kept it small and just a little extra feature.
So how do you heat emboss? If you’ve never done it before, it’s super dooper easy. You need a heat tool (hair dryers and toasters don’t work!), special ink of the watermark variety, embossing powder.
Stamp your image using the special ink, sprinkle on the powder and gently tip off the excess. Then with circular motions, gently heat the powder up. It will go from matte/powdery to shiny when it’s done!
So the world is your oyster really with heat embossing. The only limit is your imagination…
