Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles’ Colour Challenge 008
*Don’t forget, you don’t need to use all of the colours listed above, but if you’re seeking inspiration, click each colour and you can see all the products Stampin’ Up! has in those colours*
So today’s colour challenge is designed to see how you get on working with a very neutral palette but just that single splash of colour. I think we can all get a big ‘hung up’ on using colours that tone and match and it stops being fun and starts being hard work. So I decided to strip back to the bare bones of neutrals. And the original neutral of grey. We have 2 greys, so be pleased I’m giving you both! I could have gone with any colour as the ‘boost’ but decided that Flirty Flamingo is a clash that works well.
This week please if you can, work with all 3 colours. See how you get on. And perhaps those 2 greys will open new doors for you in your crafting….
My card, which is the one the winner will receive, uses the wording and butterfly from Butterfly Basics stamp set. I cut the butterfly out with the Butterflies Thinlits (they’re a bundle, it made sense!). We have a couple of butterfly stamp sets and a couple of butterfly framelits and thinlits and they are all interchangeable! Love that kind of thing!
There’s a speckle from Gorgeous Grunge in the background, but then those 3 circles of 1.5″, 1.75″ and 2″ which are there simply as an unusual backdrop.
Best of luck everyone, have fun playing along!

Just wanted to check with you to make sure it’s okay for me to participate in your Colour Challenge, as I am also a SU! Demonstrator. I totally understand if you prefer not to have links to other Demonstrators’ blogs on your posts. I am, however, a Demonstrator in the US, so we can’t really even operate in the same markets. Please let me know your thoughts–either way is *totally* okay with me 🙂
