Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Thank You Cards using Star of Light and Starlight. And a lot of glitter and foil…
So following on from yesterday…. I was equally in love with the Star of Light Stamp Set and matching thinlits as soon as a I saw them. They immediately leaped out of the catalogue at me, but at the same time, the Fancy Frost suite was also calling for my attention.
I decided to go with the colours from that suite and add them into a card using mostly the Star of Light products.
Like the notebook gifts from yesterday, these were also prepped in advance and taken off on holiday with me. When small boys are in bed, I like to get to work. Although they did decide to stay up and help – my advice, don’t leave children in charge of holding paper in place when you’re using liquid adhesive onto foil…. it’s a wibbly combination.
Anyway, the front of the card is all hand-stamped and then many little layers of card and glimmer and foil and ribbon.
They took a long time to make, and yes, I needed another dozen of these at midnight on 1st to get them out on the 2nd, but they’re so worth it.
I hope they’re well received!
I used the Note Cards and Envelopes as my base, so my panels are as follows
Foil – 4.5 x 3″ (11.5 x 7.5cm)
Glimmer Paper – 4.25 x 2.75″ (11 x 7cm)
Stamped Layer – 4 x 2.5″) (10.5 x 6.5cm)
Greetings Layer – 2.25 x 1.25″ (6 x 3cm)
