Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Colour Your World Blog Hop Vertical Greetings
Happy September everyone!
The team is back with another Colour Your World Blog Hop and we’ve gone very autumnal this month!
I decided not to bring in Crushed Curry but keep with the other colours. I’d been crafting at my desk making this card when my eldest son came in to see what I was doing. He loved the idea of using Stampin’ Write Markers (don’t forget to check out my competition here), so he asked if he could have a play too. We had a great evening together and came up with lots of ideas!
My card is made using Vertical Greetings and for the tree itself, I used Melon Mambo on the top, Cherry Cobbler on the bottom. I then coloured all of the middle one in Melon Mambo and then lightly tapped my Cherry Cobbler Maker over the top to get a few speckles of the darker colour on there.
It’s Jack’s decision for the Wink of Stella on the top and he’s totally right!
I definitely think this is a stamp set that needs setting over mats and layers of cardstock. My first go had me stamping the topiary tree straight onto the main Whisper White backdrop, but we didn’t like it and decided to elevate it and it works so much better.
So, have a great day, and enjoy the hop!
