Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Chalk Ink on Penned & Painted

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Chalk Ink on Penned & Painted

I have to say, this year I have really embraced chalk ink on coloured cardstock. It’s not a new technique to me, I did a rainbow card a few years ago using petite petals (HERE!), but this year is definitely one where I’ve gone back to the same technique a few times.

And this time, I went with tone on tone stamping of the outline of the flowers from Penned & Painted and the sentiment from First Sight. I love how that looks anyway, but then when you bring in White Stazon ink aswell, well you get a card that’s quite unusual!

I wonder what this might look like on say a Bermuda Bay card or perhaps. Or maybe a Rich Razzleberry?  The possibilities are endless with white ink aren’t they?

Have a great day, I’m off to watch my youngest son play a shepherd in his school nativity this afternoon! His whole class are either shepherds or angels. They were the same characters last year. Oops, I think the school may have missed a year group out – they’re meant to rotate and all year 1s (his year) are meant to take the leads… Anyway, he’ll be happy as a shepherd again!

    Hi Sam:
Wanted you to know I just made 4 of your post a note gifts. I changed them up a bit and I think they are still cute. I plan to make many more for my neighbor friends.
Send this all the way from Auburn, California (about 2 hrs east of San Francisco)

I appreciate you and your tutorials. Mostly greatful that your kids can participate in the nativity program at school and you celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Merry Christmas to you from Missouri USA.
