Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Long Slender Chocolate Egg Boxes using Background DSP
How gorgeous are these? I made similar long slim cartons for chocolate eggs last year, but I used cardstock that I hand stamped. This year I fancied doing something a little different and because our amazing Background Stacks of DSP have all of our colours, there’s definitely one to match each foiled egg!
I’ve kept the measurements the same as the cardstock version, simply so that you can make them in either paper or cardstock, whichever you fancy.
I get my eggs from Amazon because I like the 1 kilo bags of them (hey, I’ve got 4 children and a sweet tooth of my own, it’s allowed….) but you can pick up smaller net bags of them in supermarkets easily enough. But you can also get eggs that have patterned foil decorations – chicks/bunnies etc, so that’s why I left the measurements as a cardstock size so that if you do find those types, you can hand stamp matching easter critters on them!!! (this is partly why I went with the Little Cuties stamp set, in case you were going for bunny characters!)
I love the look of them though and my boys have been eyeing them up for a while now. I wonder if I can hang onto them until Easter Sunday….?
