Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Rose Wonder Heat Embossing and Watercolouring
Well this is a different kind of card for me…. the lovely Diana Gibbs created a card a few months back on a Facebook Live that she did and I loved it. I didn’t do exactly the same technique that she did, but I certainly took inspiration from a pretty style of card.
It’s all about the white heat embossing you see. That’s what makes the colours stand out. Sadly, I’m no great photographer, so it’s hard to see the full outline of the white embossing powder, but in real life, it’s quite a striking effect.
I used my Watercolour pencils to get the colour onto the petals and leaves and then added a little smoky slate around the edges, just to make that white embossing stand out a bit more.
I definitely will have another go at a card like this, although I do think practice will improve mine…!
