Stampin’ up! Demonstrator Pootles – Colour Your World Blog Hop – Timeless Textures and Bitty Butterflies
Happy Tuesday everyone! I love and loathe this palette in equal measure! The love comes from the fact that this palette and image is similar in colour to my beatufiul cat Fennel. This cat has a flatter face than my pretty Burmese Girl, but there is a distinct look of the same cat there. The loathe comes from it being a nightmare to create a card with. Actually, it wasn’t too bad once I stopped seeing grey cats in my mind….
Timeless Texture made it easy with the 3 colours stamped and then the bitty butterfly edges tipped with smoky slate. Whew! Caught that one there didn’t I. Nearly threw in the towel at one point!!!
*Please note, I wrote this blog post back in March and it hadn’t entered my head that our amazing butterfly punches would be retired and then sell out in 12 hours of the retiring list going live… However, that tells me that lots of you have got butterfly punches now, so at least you can still make this card!
Over to you all with the colour challenge, and if you’ve not found us yet, we now have a Facebook Group for you to join, so that you can work to the same colour palette as us!

Lovely card Sam. Especially the butterflies. Love them on cards. Thank you.
Love it Sam and I will miss the Butterflies, but we still have the dragonflies hehe
This card is as beautiful as it is elegant Sam, love the background you created with this fun images and I’m so happy you featured this butterfly punch, I can’t believe Stampin’ Up! is retiring the Papillion Potpourri stamp set and both the big and small butterfly punches. I’m lucky I have this things, I use them all the time so I hope a lot of people have a chance to grab them before they are gone.
Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
I love timeless textures and this perfectly demonstrates how to keep it simple. Love love it Sam. TFS
So pretty and not easy to create a feminine looking card with these colours. Love the vintage look and feel. I’ll miss those butterflies when they retire. Did you see I honoured Fennel on my card today. LOL
Hoooooooooooooooorrrrray!!! I have mine and I am using it a lot. Beautiful and elegant card.
Lovely card Sam! I agree that this was actually a difficult scheme to work with this month! Hope the unpacking is going well and everyone is settling well into your new home!
