Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Touches of Texture Customer Thank You Cards
Happy Saturday everyone!
Today I have a couple of the cards that I sent out as my Thank Yous to all the lovely people who came shopping with me in April. I always send a goodie pack with a gift and a card in it each month and I get endless pleasure from it.
This particular card is a variation on one I made a few months ago, and with the recent house move and my office being in disarray for a while, I wanted something beautiful and stylish but made with minimal supplies!
So I took a pack each of Basic Grey, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso cardstock giving me 96 pieces of cardstock. One evening I scored the whole lot in half and then cut every piece, giving me just under 200 card blanks to work with!
Another evening, I took a pack and a half (ish!) of whisper white cardstock and cut all that down to make the card fronts.
It’s amazing how much you can achieve while you’ve got a movie on your Ipad on your desk!
Then I went to town with my stamping. The layout is the same as my original card, other than the greeting. I loved it on it’s own banner, but I also love how Touches of Texture offsets the Blooms & Wishes words. And they’re perfect words for me to send to my lovely shoppers.
I went with 5 different colours of the ink – Rose Red, Melon Mambo and Sweet Sugarplum and then Real Red and Cherry Cobbler. I couldn’t decide which one to go with, so I went with all of them.
Then finally, I got out my lovely Wink of Stella clear pen and blended the centre of all the main flowers. This is a lovely simple touch. The flowers go from outline to ‘alive’ and that little hint of sparkle gives them an extra layer of texture.
I don’t know which I think is my favourite colour – I love them all! And I’m endlessly grateful to everyone who shops with me, and I adore sending you the goodie packs each month!
