Just Add Text to Petal Garden Paper

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Just Add Text to Petal Garden Paper

I am a paper monster. As if you didn’t know that…. and I love how easy it is to make a glorious card with matching ribbons and inks.

I’ve said it many a time before, Stampin’ Up! does the hard work and makes me look good!

I love the Petal Garden paper, although the stamp set that goes with it isn’t my style particularly. I’m nothing if not honest!

So I decided to work with just 2 of the sheets of DSP, one of which had a great pattern clustered in one corner. A little bit of jiggling about with sizes and I managed to get the roses replicated in miniature with another sheet of paper from the same pack.

When I first joined Stampin’ Up! we had DSP colour collection stacks that matched every colour we had, and rather than have the patterns in the colour + white, it was the colour + a softer tone of the same shade. So this particular paper pack really appeals. Those roses are the perfect match to Rich Razzleberry because they’re a muted softer tone of that same shade.

I love them and they look great with the much stronger ink on the Just Add Text phrase with the matching card blank. But here’s a quirky thing. That ribbon is actually Fresh Fig! Not too different to be a problem, it’s a great contrast!

Happy me! Darker and Lighter tones of the same colour.

Pootles’ Picks Shopping Gifts

Everyone who shops with me gets a handmade card and gift in the post. Sometimes the gift is a handcrafted item, sometimes it’s a product share, sometimes it’s something else entirely!

And every person gets that, regardless of how large or small your order is. I am grateful to everyone who shops with me.

I do however also have a Hostess Code and always share the goodies out amongst everyone who uses it. This month, I’m trialling something different.

USE CODE Y6VP29FF

  • Spend over £50/€65 and receive the divine Metallic Edge Ribbon in Silver worth £6.25/€8.50
  • Spend over £100/€135 and receive the utterly beautiful Background Bits stamp set worth £19/€25
  • If you’d still like to use the code and be part of the collective, but your order is under £50, please feel free to use it and I’ll make sure to pop a little something extra in your parcel!
  • If your order is over £150/€200 please do not use the code as you will be your own Hostess and get your own rewards to spend!
