Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Enormous Reinforced Lidded Birthday Year Of Cheer Box
Oh this is just enormous! Got to love a big box, right? And how decadent and luxurious does this look?!?!
I absolutely love the Year of Cheer paper and while it’s in the Christmas/New Year part of the seasonal catalogue, I wanted to make a birthday box instead. You know me, I like to be a little contrary…
And while neither I nor any of my children have birthdays in that run up to Christmas, my Dad has his birthday on November 24th, and I know many folk who’s birthdays fall very close to Christmas Day and even on it!
So why not use decadent paper for their gifts too?
I decided to let the paper do all the work for me, but I wanted to give the box lid reinforced edges, so that’s what I did!
I have the measurements down at the bottom, don’t forget to slide the lid out a tiny smidge of a whisper of a little bit before you start scoring (as shown in the video!)
S x
Dimensions when finished – 8 x 8 x 2″ (20 x 20 x 5cm)
Cardstock BASE – 12 x 12″ (30 x 30cm) Score at 2″ on all 4 sides
DSP LID – 12 x 12″ (30 30cm) Score at 1 and 2″ (2.5 and 5cm) on all 4 sides

That is a great box for beautiful gifts. Could you make a box for our stampinup cards that we make? It would be a great gift for teachers.
