Christmas Around the World with Merry Patterns

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Christmas Around the World with Merry Patterns

It’s the weekend! Who’s getting their craft on? Chris, my husband, is working day shifts this weekend, so the boys and I will no doubt be off out and about somewhere, but I will definitely be trying to get some crafting going on.

But even if I don’t get a great deal of time, I know I’m not alone in the multitasking Mummy/Nanna/Granddad stakes, so I’ve got a quick but lovely card for you.

I absolutely adore the Christmas Around the World paper and it’s hit that right note of nostalgic but not too twee. I’m not sure how to explain it, but there’s that lovely whimsy of the gingerbread men and christmas puddings but without being vintage. Does that make sense?  I’m not overly struck on the heavily vintage look, but this has hit the spot perfectly for me. Not that I decorate my house like this, I’m that horrible person who has themed rooms and one-colour looks, but you know, I’m ok with that!

So my card has just 2 pieces of DSP overlaid with a panel on the front that’s been stamped with the new Merry Patterns stamp set. This is the one you earn for free with orders over £250/€350 and I’m pleased to say that a lot of you are getting it and loving it.

I’m not the best at lining things up when it’s tight and close like this stamp set is. I’d be better if I used my Stamp a ma Jig, but the purpose of this card was to show you a quick card. And I’m also ok with that too!!!

Have a super weekend everyone, and happy crafting!
