Pootles’ Advent Countdown 2017 #7 Year of Cheer Huge Bag

Oh oh oh oh! I love it! This paper has totally captured that little shiny magpie section of my heart that loves all things shiny. Is anyone else like that?  I see it and I literally say ‘oooo pretty’ when something shiny catches my eye. I have no shame in that. My name is Sam and I love shiny!

However, what I adore about this paper is that it’s not just for Christmas. Stampin’ Up! designers got this one very right when they called it Year of Cheer. They have it pitched perfectly to be used all year round. Even the ‘snowflakes’ which I put in inverted commas because they have 8 points and before I get up on my soap box, snowflakes have 6!!!!

Anyway, back to the bag. It’s huge and pretty and lovely and so so shiny!

The little flags on the front are a great way to pull it all together and I’m a fan of mixing metals, so whichever metals you have in your stash, get them out and play!

In other news, my replacement thin gold ribbon has now arrived, no more curly ends….!

Hi Sam … Love the bags!! They’re beautiful. And I agree with you about the snowflakes…should be six-sided. Have you noticed from the past the snowflakes that are four-sided framelits, thinlits, and stamps? That’s just not right!! Anyway – have a great day!

Gorgeous bags indeed. I wonder when the ribbon curls like that if pressing it (ironing) would flatten it out. Just a thought
