Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Messy Watercolour Heat Emboss Resist with Birthday Blossoms
Oh my, this was a lot of fun to make. Quite possibly more squeals of delight were coming from this middle aged woman’s mouth than is normally deemed dignified, but it was so worth it!
I had no idea what to expect from the results of just 2 inks, but I love it!
I’ve got watercolour paper as my main layer and did a double heat emboss with white powder of the gorgeous Birthday Blossoms stamp set. It’s a cluster of flowers that I think are just lovely and they look really special on here.
I thoroughly spritzed my watercolour paper, which caused it to roll up in the middle, but I was fine with that, I wanted a running colour look!
I blobbed drips of Melon Mambo Reinker and Daffodil Delight Reinker into the middle of the card and just let them fall where they wanted. There was a little guidance from me with an Aqua Painter to make sure that my embossed flowers were totally covered, but what a cool look!
Then just a triple layer bow of Linen Thread and a matching stamped greeting from the same set, and that’s one quick and easy card. I say quick because I ran my heat gun over it to dry it off. Well, I had it out for the embossing…!
