Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Swirly Scribbles with Brushos. First Play!
How exciting!
We have a new colouring product – Brushos! I’m a bit of a Stampin’ Up! purist so don’t look too far outside our crafting world. That’s not to say that I don’t know what’s out there, I just choose not to buy it. I don’t need to, I have all that I need inside my own Stampin’ Up! catalogue!
But, we now have Brushos as part of our line up and this is a medium that I’ve never worked with before.
I can see me having fun, and I can see that there isn’t a ‘right or wrong’ to use them. But I do think there’s an element of ‘hmmm, not sure that was the look I was after’ with some of my test runs, but this one made me happy. I simply sprinkled the red and yellow onto my dampened watercolour paper, and then added a spritz of water over the top.
I was after the speckled effect as a backdrop to my Swirly Scribbles die cuts and it worked well.
I did ponder which sentiment to use over the top, and decided that my much beloved Just Add Text was perfect.
So I had fun and I can see me doing more playing and experimenting!

I love Brushos but they are extortionate with Stampin Up! You can buy a set of 12 for less than £27! Sorry x
Not sure about this product, desperation for something new comes to mind and will it sell well? Sorry.
I have yet to see a lovely card made with this stuff. I think it is the colors stampin up chose to put in the set. They don’t work together very well. I think they are meant to be mixed to make colors, but then the set should include Black and white. I agree with the person who said the price point is extortionate. More overpriced than usu7
I have to practice A LOT with pencils, markers, etc. before changing my almost non-existing coloring technique.
I agree they are pricey, I bought my Husband 2 sets of 5 different colours for less than £15 for both at Christmas for his art work so he could have a go at a new medium, (I’m not very keen for card making) so wouldn’t recommend them from Stampin up sorry.
