Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Watercolour Raindrops on Umbrella Weather Together
Did you spot them or did you miss them? The tiny clear and glitter epoxy shapes at the bottom of page 33. I will let you off if you did, we are all a bit in love with the stunning sunshine and rainbows bundle on that page. But, I spotted them and while they are super dooper tiny on the clear sheet, when you start adding them to a project in this fashion – with watercolouring Over the top – then they really do stand out.
I reckon these as the pips for strawberries would be brilliant!
My technique was simply to lay them all down in the rough area that I wanted the raindrops to be. I turned my watercolour paper over so that I could press really hard on the back to make sure they were well stuck. A large acrylic block does this job really well!
I needed them well stuck because I did the watercolouring after and I really didn’t want any ink to seep under the stickers, and hurrah, it worked!
Once I’d done that, I just needed an umbrella and a statement sentiment. I did consider a more brightly coloured brolly, but felt that the silhouette worked better, particularly with the stamping being in black too.
Simple, but I think really very effective.
Have a lovely Sunday and if it’s raining where you are, I hope you have shelter too.
