A Rainbow of Budgies from Bird Banter

Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – A Rainbow of Budgies from Bird Banter

I wasn’t sure how this card was going to turn out, until I’d finished. You know what I’m like, I tend not to do a lot of ‘testing’ first on my cards, I like to just go for it.

Fortunately this one worked out well!

Bird Banter is so cute, and while I used the parrot last weekend, I decided that the adorable budgies had to come out today. Thankfully there’s a pair of them, so I didn’t have 6 identical birds, but instead, they do all now look a little different to one another.

Ok, so the rainbow will do that too, but you know what I mean!

I went for Blender Pens and the ink pads to get the faded colours on them. And I have to confess, I can’t tell you if my budgies are the right colours or not. But you know, it’s a card and I made it, so out goes the rule book!!

I do feel a bit sad for the Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight birds though. Maybe 3 branches and 3 pairs would be less lonesome for them?

Anyway, have a super day,

S xx

What a darling card. I love it. I’m so happy I ordered this stamp set. My son had two budgies when he was younger. One passed at 11 years and the other passed at 13 years, which they say is long for them, I’m glad we were blessed. My son was heartbroken, he loved them and they were great birds.

love this card. This stamp set just has moved up on my wishlist. 🙂
I think three branches would be too much.
because of the multitude of colours I think the card needs its amount of white space just two branches create
