Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Papercraft Blog of the Year at the British Craft Awards. And I won!!!!
*Stamparatus update at the bottom!*
I’m just about down off cloud 9 and in a coherent state to type while making sense. But yes, I am thrilled to share that I won Papercraft Blog of the Year at the 2018 British Craft Awards on Sunday night.
When it’s an award like this, voted for by you all, then it’s so amazing to win. Many awards that you see out there in magazines or on tv channels are either exclusively ‘brands’ or they’re decided by the magazines, but because this is a public vote and public award, I’m utterly thrilled and delighted to have not only been nominated and shortlisted, but to then have won.
So I’m humbled and grateful to all of you who voted for me. Thank you.
It was a fantastic day at the trade show – seeing other brands – although in the main it was sewing and fabrics, knitting etc, but there were a few other papercraft brands to see. We are definitely a force to be reckoned with and we are still purists with Red Rubber stamps at our heart aswell as photopolymer. I can’t recall seeing anyone else with red rubber and just the day before, I’d broken out a brand new stamp set in red rubber and oohed and ahhed over that first super crisp sharp image that I stamped out! Long may we remain producing red rubber stamps!
The evening was a blur of activity and awards and over all too soon. Almost too soon for me to get any photos!
But it was amazing and as I said, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is the 2nd year I’ve been nominated and 2nd year that I’ve won. It’s all because of you.
