Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – How to make a box for Soaps or Mini Cards
Ah it’s a pretty one today!
I do love Scottish Fine Soaps in their lovely keepsake tins, but I fully believe that every gift needs a box, even if it has it’s own already. I mean, the tins are stunning, but it kinda gives the game away to hand over an unwrapped gift, so I made a box!
Tone on tone stamping was the order of the day, I liked how pretty the soft So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz were together on the tin, and when I made the one on video, I wanted to do the same, but with a different pair of colours from the Subtles Collection. And the tone on tone stamping worked perfectly again. At least, I think so!
The shape of the box was important to me too, I wanted you to open the box and look straight down onto the contents rather than making it a sort of ‘open one end and shake out the gift’ type of box. You know what I mean. At least I hope you do!!
After that it was simple to use the Lots to Love set to get a little sentiment on the front, then some stunning shimmer ribbon and box made.
Of course, if you don’t have Scottish Fine Soaps available to you, the box works perfectly for so many other things including small cards or other luxury treats!
Have a fantastic Wednesday!

Very good Sam.
Hi Sam!! Cute box! I love soaps! You have changed your “site” appearance!. Very small type . . . for me.
We’ve made it bigger. Any better?
I love the web site update, Sam! 🙂
I love this project, can use is for so many things. I really like your new site-page.
Another fabulous box Sam! Thank you!
Hi Sam site refresh very nice love the box keep warm from snowey Norfolk Xx
Writing far too small for me too! Pink stamping on white card does not show up, looks like a blank label.
The font is much bigger now. Maybe refresh the page? And possibly your monitor white balance is a bit bright, it’s definitely pink on white at this end!! Can see it very clearly x
Love those boxes. Love the new look of your blog
Of course you added a rainbow, love it.
Beautiful and box and love the website update! Very classy and easy to navigate!
Great box Sam and perfect for gift giving . I love the tin the soap comes in and I think playing off it’s colors was a really great idea.
Adorable box Sam! Would you please share what scissors that you use. They seem to cut those squares out so clean and especially the extra little slivers that you cut to make all your boxes fit just right. Thanks so much.
I love soaps for a nice little gift, love this little box. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Arrived back in the States yesterday after visiting my son in London. My shipment of soap was waiting for me at his flat. Guess what I’m doing today….along with laundry
