Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Heat Embossed Heart Happiness Cards
My husband is the kind of chap who when asked, will tell you his favourite colour is black. He’s quite contrary like that, the entire spectrum of colours to choose from and he goes for black…. There’s always one isn’t there?
So when I was making his Valentine’s Card a few weeks ago, I decided to go with his much ‘beloved’ black and make him a card using that.
Originally I went with the black on white card with black ink, but I wasn’t hugely happy with how it looked, so I then made the black on black one with clear embossing powder, and that’s the one he received. Yes, I used Chalk Marker to write inside it for him!
But you know, even though St Valentine’s Day is the 14th February, the one magical and desperately expensive day of the year, we can always find a time to show our love with a card, and men, well, my menfolk, love a handmade card. The smaller boys are forever making cards for me in the office, and even the other 2 will wander down and leave me little notes on my grid paper.
So while Valentine’s Day has passed for another year, there are plenty of times to show love to our men.

Hi Sam, what lovely versatile cards, so many uses. Loving the blog makeover to.Thanks for sharing all your great ideas.
Oh Sam I do love these cards. They are brautiful. Once again you have inspired me to try something new. Take care.
Well, It is classic and classy LOL. One of my favorite colors, too, so guess I am one of “those”. It can dress up any other color, too. TFS!
Just remember that in light, black is the absence of all color, but in pigment, black is the presence of ALL color, so maybe your husband is saying he likes ALL colors. lol.
Very pretty cards, love heat embossing.
