As you all know, I’m of the firm belief that sending a card for no reason other than you simply wanted to is a good enough reason.

There’s a lot of focus on sending cards for ‘events’ but what if today is an event that’s not dictated by the calendar? What if today is just a regular Thursday and the letterbox rattles with the sound of a card falling on your door mat? That’s a pretty good event in my book!

So my card for you today, with the delightful Pretty Kitty stamp set is simply created for this reason. No reason. Just because….

As you know, I have 3 cats, (well technically 1 cat and 2 kittens!) and they are very much a part of my crafting life. From keeping me company to parading across my desk both on camera and off camera, to the recent delight of the smallest kitten, walking across the top of my paper racks, flicking off cardstock as she goes….

Of course, you can colour your Pretty Kitty any colour you want, if I could get Sorrel’s markings (she’s a Savannah) or Berry’s pattern (she’s a Bengal) then I would, but I’m sticking with my Burmese girl Fennel and her soft grey fur.

Watercolour pencils helped completely here, it meant I could colour my flowers all different shades and hues and I love it!
