Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Hexagonal Box Tutorial Using Delightful Daisy Delight
I love the Delightful Daisy suite and decided that I could help bring Spring along with a floral box. Well one can wish!!
I made a shorter version of this a few years ago in the summer of 2015 when we had a darling paper that had bumble bees on it. I called it my Beehive Box (you can see it here if you want!) and decided to use that as my starting point. This one is much taller than my original, but it closes up in the same way.
Top tip, please make sure your glue is totally dry on the base before pulling the top together. Ask me how I know… No don’t ask me, just watch the video *face palm* But you know, I make the mistakes so you don’t have to….
Wibbly boxes aside, aren’t they both lovely thought? The Delightful Daisy paper is charming and this is the same pattern on different coloured cardstock. Which do you prefer? I’m not sure I can decide!
And with the lovely Daisy Delight stamp and Daisy Punch creating that fabulous flower, the box doesn’t need much more decoration…
Have a super Friday wherever you are!

Lovely box, perhaps I will make 2 so that there will be ample drying time!
How do you sharpen a punch?
Hi Jennifer, I hope you and Sam don’t mind me jumping in, I learned a long time ago, to sharpen punches, you punch the shapes out on Aluminum Foil a few times. If there is another way, I would love to know, but that does work. 🙂
LOL, so funny, love the box. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
Such a lovely box!!!! I always enjoy your projects. Thank you so much for sharing. I DO have a question about these measurements. Your video states LONG side measurements 1 3/4, 3 1/2, 5 1/4, 7, 8 3/4, 10 1/2. Inches. The written directions say
1 3/4, 2 5/8 (different than second score line measurement in video), 5 1/4, 7, 8 3/4, 10 1/2. Can you please tell me which SECOND score line measurement is correct? Thank you very much!
Oops all fixed!
Lovely boxes, they are beautiful to just keep out as decorations.
Thanks, Sam. I would be interested to find out how do you sharpen a punch?
Hi Sam. I love love this box but I really can’t do the folds around the top. I’ve tried several times without joy. Have you any tips?
Many thanks.
Love this project. I really love the different shaped boxes, they make such an impact and are so unique and lovely. Thanks!
Hello! I am impressed by your work. Could you please write the name of special tools and with which you created this box. I would appreciate your answer.
