Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Free Sale a Bration Heartfelt Blooms in Tranquil Tide
I can tell you, hand on heart, that I have no idea why I chose to use Tranquil Tide with this card. I had no agenda, no thoughts of how it may turn out, but I simply fancied using it.
What I can say is that the stamp is stunning, it gives this wonderful photographic impression (it’s known as Distinktive and has a patent pending – yay!) and I absolutely adore it.
I will however readily admit that Tranquil Tide is perhaps not one of the best colours to choose.
Out of the entire line up of shades we had, I had to choose the one that made these incredible flowers look like cabbages. Yes, I did that. And I’m not ashamed to share when I don’t get things quite right. I’m nothing if not honest!
I regularly talk to people about joining Stampin’ Up! and often people say “oh I couldn’t do what you do”. Trust me, anyone can do what I do, and heck, anyone can do this! Crafting and being a demo isn’t about being ‘the best’ crafter or the ‘most perfect’ or having the ‘most techniques on one project possible’. Nope. It’s about having fun, it’s about being creative, making questionable colour choices and running with them anyway (I may send this to a friend with a vegetable garden who’ll perhaps appreciate it!). Being a demo is about so many things, making friends, making crafty mistakes. Making connections, making a business, making projects.
Heartfelt blooms? Absolutely, my heart blooms whenever anyone joins my team, and I love it!

Sam, I loved your text . . . I do know I will NEVER be a demonstrator, but I enjoy so much reading your blog. Have a great day!
Love the stamp, and love the colour. Sorry l cant see any cabbages. I would use this stamp and colour combination to cover an A4 or 12×12 sheet with a stamping on and stamping off then on technique to create a dsp for boxes and bag making. I suppose its personal choice. Good job we dont all like the same
The flower is so nice…

Hi Sam! The color didn’t come across as tranquil tide green, so the color looks quite awesome! It looks more like pacific point or even marina mist. Nevertheless, and as usual, you put together something very nice …
I think your colour choice has created a ‘happy accident’ – I love the look. It reminds me of those old French ‘toile du joie’ prints!
Love reading your blog and find your videos easy to follow and inspiring. Thank you
