Oooo she’s so pretty!

How adorable is this gorgeous butterfly with her pink wings? I’ve got Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo and the retiring Rose Red on her wings and they’re a great colour trio on there.

The Melon Mambo has dulled down a little because I watercoloured them on, I was hoping for a bit more vibrancy, but actually, I really like the finished effect and how the colours blend and work.

This is such an easy technique. I simply stamped my image in Memento Tuxedo Black then watercoloured the sections of the wings. Then I very very gently spread on Fine Tip Glue.

Yep, glue….

Tombow won’t work, but our Fine Tip glue is perfect, not just because it dries clear, but also because it’s got the needle point tip to it so you can be really precise.

I would advise however, not leaving it to dry where your husband can dump his paperwork on it…. My photo studio (where it was drying) is right in front of his chair in my office and he’d been reading some stuff and when done, he dropped it onto the desk without seeing what was on there.

Fortunately the card was almost dry, but there’s a couple of little spots that he caught. Grrr!

Anyway, I still love the card. It’s handmade afterall, bubbles and blobs and all!
