#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Dragonfly Dreams in Merry Merlot & Lovely Lipstick
I’m such a bad demo. It’s been so long since I last used my Dragonfly Dreams and Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits that I actually can’t remember when that was. Is that really bad?
But I’m making up for it today by using new colours, new DSP (yes, that’s a paper cut out) and a carry over set.
I was having a bit of a play and wondered how the dragonfly would look if I stamped her in the rich Merry Merlot and I loved the look, but took it a stage further by then stamping a second time, but without reinking. I love this stamped-off technique – 1 colour, multiple looks!
When it came to the die cut dragonfly though, I did try her just with paper first but felt she was a bit flimsy. So I glued a small piece of Lovely Lipstick DSP onto some matching card first, then die cut her out. Much better and sturdier!
I wanted to keep the whole card relatively simple in terms of techniques – the dragonflies are doing the work – so other than a covering her in Wink of Stella, I left it at that and just added the sentiment. Some cards are ok to be kept simple I reckon!
