#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Bunch of Blossoms in Gorgeous Grape with Wink of Stella
This spring, my husband and I grew tulips in our garden… It’s been years since I’ve planted bulbs and this year, we planted a bunch of spring flowering bulbs and then just hoped for the best. We were richly rewarded, though I have to say, the ones that Chris planted, well, he didn’t separate them and just dumped about 12 bulbs in one hole… It was a mixture of yellow and then yellow-with-red tulips that came up. However, they weren’t nicely blended, they’d somehow ended up in 2 clumps right next to one another. Most bizarre, but cute anyway!!!
So my card, while not in those colours, is a nod to my love of tulips (I may not grow them normally, but I have vases of them all spring in my house) and I went with Gorgeous Grape, just because I could!
This stamp set is divine. It’s 3 steps for the majority of the petals and flowers, and as it’s photopolymer, you can stamp it all really easily and get a lovely effect like mine.
I’ve said it before, Stampin’ Up! makes me look good!
I did feel the flowers were a little flat, so I smothered them in Wink of Stella and brought them off the page a little. And I love them! Wouldn’t it be great if we could get glittery tulips and flowers in real life, just growing in the garden?
Have a great Sunday everyone!
