#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Animal Outing Road Trip Bag
“ROAD TRIP!” Yes, I did yell that out loud! Does anyone else do that right before they’re going out for the day and travelling more than an hour? We do, but then, it could just be us, but we do love to pile into the car as a family and head off places.
However, in this wonderful modern age and how old my boys are, it’s a little sad, but there really isn’t a need to think of road trip games, or pack bags of things to keep them occupied while we drive. They’re 7, 10-in-2-weeks, 13 and 15 now and well versed in mobile technology and well trained in bringing head phones. So other than supplying them with treats to eat, they don’t really want for much from Chris and myself as we drive. It’s quite nice that we get to chat for however long we’re driving, but I do miss the gathering of goodies for them for when we’re on the road.
So this year, I’ve decided to put their edible goodies into these bags for our road trip in a few days time. Sweeties will go in there, perhaps a small game, but they will love it. My boys adore treats, particularly on a Friday (you all know about the Pootles Family Treat Friday tradition) and they love getting them in Mum’s special bags!
And these bags are perfect for my boys. Not too old, not too young, just right. and of course, covered in wild animals…
Are they easy to make? Of course, I made them!!! I don’t do complicated!
So you can put a whole load of these together in advance and keep them stored flat until you need them. That’s right, stored flat! No cutting needed!
I had fun with my blends pens and some gentle colouring. Who else loves to colour? And then some super easy die cutting and job done!
Have a wonderful day and if you’re going on a road trip, let me know your traditions!
