#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – In Every Season – Ink Colouring with Wink of Stella
I love this stamp set, but there is much debate over which flowers are which, which month they’re for and which season they’re meant to be in.
I’m going to put my head above the parapet a little here and say that they’re for any/every/all seasons.
I live in the UK which is either raining, raining and windy or raining and cold…. well, with the odd day of sunshine here and there.
But I have demonstrator friends who live in America, Japan, Australia.. and their seasons are different to mine. Some are more defined and some are at totally different times of the year. While it’s snowing in New York city, it’s blazing sunshine in Australia…
So my point is, don’t stress and worry about which flower is for which month or season but just pull out the ones that you like.
And that’s exactly what I did.
And as you all know, I’m horticulturally challenged, so I’ve precisely no idea what half the flowers are or what colours they’re meant to be, but you know what? I had fun! And I created my own bespoke flowers!
I did consider using watercolour pencils with them, but instead used my Wink of Stella and a tiny dab of ink to create my own glittery colours.
Not keeping inside of the lines is something you’re either ok with or makes you twitch. I’m ok with it… I wanted the smoosh of colour with the whisper of glitter!
Finally, my panels are 4cm (1.5″ ) squares with a smoky slate border square of 4.5cm (1.75″) all on a Basic Grey cardstock base.
Fun to make, and chuck out the rules on flowers. Just have fun!

Very pretty colors, but, I’m one of those that cringe when I do or see coloring out of the lines, lol, except for children of course.
