#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Home to Roost Free Sale a Bration Stamp Set!
Happy Sunday everyone!
Well, I confess, it was sort of deliberate that my 4 card projects this week were all animal themed. It wasn’t designed that way, I’d had a batch of card making, and when I was deciding when to blog them, I found that I had these 4 lovely animal cards, so I decided to slot them all into my card-days here!
When I was a girl, we had chickens at the bottom of the garden. More specifically, we had hens and for the shortest time, a cockerel. We were all about the eggs, not so much about the noise….. I’m not sure how long he was with us, a phone call to Mum and Dad would answer that probably, but they’re in the middle of moving house to live near me, and me calling them about a cockerel from 1984 isn’t likely to be the ideal phone call!
Anyway, that aside, my card shows off not just the lovely cockerel, but a great sentiment. “Enjoy the simple moments” and that’s what I think we forget to remember to do. Enjoy those small moments. The times when you’re out for a walk. When you hear your child laugh. When you collect fresh eggs from the hens at the bottom of the garden. When the rain stops and you see a rainbow.
All those little simple moments are so significant, but we don’t know it at the time.
So my card shows that in one single stamped statement, paired with a figure from my own happy, simple childhood, and reflected over the share what you love DSP.
My cards don’t always happen accidentally, there’s often really good reasons behind why I brought all the elements together. Though I’m not sure that any kind of cajun craze happens in my life, so that’s a happy accident!
Have a lovely Sunday and don’t forget to enjoy a simple moment today.

Very cute card Sam. Loved your story. I agree 🙂
Sam – I love your card. The way you painted the rooster goes so well with the watercolor look of the DSP – but I guess you know that!
