All Adorned Free Stamp Set, Heat Embossed in Silver over Pinks

#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – All Adorned Free Stamp Set, Heat Embossed in Silver over Pinks

There are times when I get a little over excited about new stuff (you’ve heard me on video, this is not new information!), and this particular stamp set, or more specifically, the sample in the brochure, really got me excited.

I don’t heat emboss nearly enough – I kind of forget to remember I have a heat gun! But when I do it, I am always amazed at the alchemy of powder turning into metal that then dries!

And the sample in the catalogue, though not heat embossed, was so lovely with the dark blue, light blue and smoky slate layering, that I had to have a go at my own version.

If you look at the card, I’ve used the 2 larger geometrical shapes, one in each corner, then overlaid with smoky slate on the opposite stamp.

I’m happy with the result, though I confess, I’m not sure that the super tiny words work with the heat embossing. Further experimentation shows that it’s better in a crisp regular ink!

But nevertheless, silver embossing powder, smoky slate ink and all over Powder Pink cardstock, backed with Silver Foil and Melon Mambo makes for a rather charming card!

Happy Sunday everyone – I hope you’re getting crafty, and maybe you’ll get out your heat gun too!
