#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Swaps from France
A little over a month ago, I had the pleasure of flying over to France to spend time with some of my French team. I have direct members in my team from all 5 of our countries, and one of the senior leaders, Sophie Prestrelle, invited me for the 2nd year to join her and her team for the weekend.
There were 25 of us staying in a Gite outside Paris and had the most wonderful time creating, crafting, working, sharing and more. (don’t I look tall over on the far right! And no, the garden wasn’t sloping either!!) That’s Sophie on the far left with blue jeans and jazz hands!! I was just a bit too cold and couldn’t bring my hands out of my pockets…
Part of the fun of getting together with other demonstrators is swapping, and today I’m sharing the swaps that I received from the ladies.
One of the nicest things for me is receiving swaps that are from my original designs, but even better, is when they didn’t follow my tutorial, but someone elses, and that person had followed someone else, and so on. I’m of the belief that when I share a project on the internet, it’s out there for others to copy and share and use, and when a project has gone ‘so far’ along the chain that I’m not known as the originator, then I know it’s a popular project and one that’s well received. It sort of feels like I’m doing my job right!
So in the video, you’ll hear me point out the couple of projects that are my original designs, and how amused I am that it was someone else’s tutorial they followed and not me!
Credit where it’s due to the originator is always lovely, but as I said, when something has been copied, then copied again, and again, it’s impossible to know where it came from, and that’s ok!
I hope you get some inspiration from all of these amazing gifts and treats and projects.
