I made a mess!
I got all inky and messy and splooshed water everywhere. But I had fun!
The new All Adorned free stamp set has some really great shapes in it and lends itself really well to the emboss resist technique, but I wanted to take my card away from the feminine side of things and make it a little more generic.
And as I love a rainbow, and now my boys do too, I had them in mind with this card.
- The technique is really simple – I stamped the images in versamark ink onto watercolour paper and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.
- After that I smothered the paper with water, it does make the paper curl, but I like that.
- Then I dripped blobs of reinker in Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point onto the paper and then simply let gravity take over and the colours blend and bleed together.
- After that, I assisted a little with the drying, using my heat gun to speed up the process.
I’m not a big user of orange normally, but I loved the patch of it that had appeared in the main card, so I used Pumpkin Pie as my background cardstock and then heat embossed black onto another panel.
I’ve shown it to all my sons and there’s a resounding “we love it!” from them all!
Winner right there!
Have a great day!
