#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Build a Mint Macaron Bike and go on a Bike Ride!
Ok, so how cute is this bike?!
There is a very good reason why I have coloured mine Mint Macaron with Soft Suede handles, seat and basket. And that’s because my lovely husband Chris bought me a Mint Green Pendleton bicycle for my birthday recently and had a basket added to the front.
He and the boys covered it with red bows and a silver ‘S’ balloon as well as filling the basket with little gifts for me (phone holder, padlock and some yummy luxury treats for me!) and they even put a birthday cake on the bike rack at the back!
Where I live in Cambridgeshire, it’s very very flat Fenland and ideal for cycling. I’d wanted to have a bike for a long time, and I’m out on it now almost every day!
It’s been well over 20 years since I was out on a bike regularly, in fact, more like 25 years…. I had a racer while I was in college, but since then, nope!
I really wanted a bike with a basket and high handlebars and as this fits my needs perfectly, in a really pretty and unusual colour, I knew I had to remake it with our Bike Ride and Build a Bike stamp and die bundle.
The frame is one stamp and die, I stamped in Mint Macaron and coloured in the seat and handles with Soft Suede. The wheels are a separate die with 2 stamps to make them, this time I added Smoky Slate because I have white wheels on my own bike.
The rack at the back is also a separate die, though you can free hand stamp one too. Finally, I put a die cut basket on the front, again in Soft Suede.
I have said to Chris that I now need to have a bunch of flowers trailing off the back of my bike, like the card, but I don’t think he understood my little joke….!
Have a lovely day, and if you have a bike and go out on it, let me know!
