#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – All That You Are Glittered Box Tutorial
When I first joined Stampin’ Up! in 2013, we shortly after had a colour refresh where a load of colours were retired, and new ones brought in. Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay seemed, to my eyes, to be super bright and almost neon! I know they’re not, but for a girl who’d worked with mostly soft shades, these were so in your face, I had to force myself to use them!
They’re much beloved colours now, but I don’t use them hugely often.
However, I wandered into our family bathroom one crafting afternoon, when I happened to be pondering colours for a project that I wanted to do using the All That You Are stamp set, and I was inspired by my basket of hand towels that are on a shelf. I have 1 black towel rolled in there and 2 dark turquoise towels that are almost Bermuda Bay in colour. So that set me off!
On this project I wanted the focus to be on the beauty of the stamp set, so I designed the box size to suit that, and went from there. I felt it only needed to have Wink of Stella accenting the flowers and leaves and it was enough.
And when I came to choose the colour for the project on the video, well, it couldn’t be anything other than Melon Mambo really could it….!
Have a lovely week!
