#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Humming Along Watercoloured Splat, Sploosh, Spritz Card!
Oh I had an inky fun time creating this card!
I really haven’t used the lovely Humming Along stamp set anywhere near enough, so I decided to just play.
I decided to scatter some of the flowers around the outside of my Watercolour Paper in Black Stazon. You can heat emboss in black if you prefer, but I was quite happy to go with ink.
Then it was just a case of choosing an ink colour, yes, just the one, and having a play with various watery tools! I pulled out my spritzer as well as my aqua painters and I really like the effect of layering blobs and dots over the watercoloured ink.
My cardstock layers are specific to International A4 and I work in Metric for these, but the practice is the same for whatever size you make your card and whether you work in Metric or Imperial. I cut my cardstock in half in either direction, doesn’t matter! then I score it in half to create my card blank. After that, as I work in metric, I make my first layer 1/2cm shorter and narrower than the closed card. Then the next (and any subsequent layers!) are a further 1/2cm shorter and narrower. If you work in imperial, go for about 3/8″ shorter and narrower and you’ll have a nice little border.
So go have some inky fun and see what happens!
