#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Birthday Cube using Cake Builder Punch
Next week my eldest son turns 16 and despite his ‘advancing’ years, he’s still partial to the odd surprise gift and treat!
So with him in mind, I set about creating a slightly more masculine treat box and came up with this one.
It’s a 2.5″ (6.5cm) cube that opens at the top (or in the case of my original, when you stick on the decorations upside down, it opens at the bottom…!)
I think it’s quite sweet, not too cute, and you can switch around any colours as you wish.
The Piece of Cake stamp set and matching Cake Builder punch make for such an easy job when making gift boxes like this.
Stamp, Punch, Stick, Go!
My first one makes use of picking up tiny dabs of coloured in with Wink of Stella to create the rainbows and different colours, but this time I went with the Pacific Point ink and just blended it out with a hint of glitter. Men like glitter too! And so I used the Sparkle Glimmer Paper again.
I’m happy with how it turned out, and I’m sure Jack will be too, particularly if edible treats go inside it…!
