#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Twinkle Twinkle and the Cake Builder, it’s a Piece of Cake
How cute is this card?
I wanted to make a little card for a young child’s early birthday. Whether 1st or 3rd or something ‘young’ like that, I reckon a cake with sweeties on top would always go down well.
(*Health and Safety Alert* – Never give lollipops to children who aren’t teenagers, and even then, question them. Urgh, hard sweets and children are not a great combination)
Back to my card…..
I love the lollipops on top, they’re super cute, and I’m addicted to watching those little videos on youtube where someone decorates a cake in about 3.5 minutes. They always have lollies on, don’t they?
But that aside, I love the colours from the Twinkle Twinkle paper, and it’s very much a pack that’s geared towards the smallest smallies in our lives, and that’s what made me think of a stacked cake for their birthday.
I did ponder a number or something on the front to denote the age that this card is for, but I actually like that the stars are on full show.
Have a great day, and if you have a small someone in your life who’s got a birthday today, or around now, let us know!

Love this one Sam, so soft and sweet, perfect for the tinies age group. Love the lollipop idea (glad you did the disclaimer). Actually it’s a great title for a children’s book – know any writers?
I don’t have a small one that’s going to have a birthday, but my middle son will be turning 35 on Tuesday! Can’t believe he’s that age already. They all grow up way too fast, but he’s got 3 children, too, so it’s good he’s that age! Ha! Cute card.
