#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Traveller’s Notebook Insert Using Stampin’ Up! Paper
I am a massive stationery and notebook fan. I have a diary for work, that’s pretty boring (other than its rainbow leopard print cover!) and is simply my work diary.
I have lots of notebooks around the house that serve various purposes – shopping lists, family chores, family activities etc. Then more around my office – sketch ideas, project ideas, etc etc.
But I have one that lives in my handbag so that I always have a place to put an idea or thought onto paper. I’m a smidge old fashioned in that I can’t do digital notebooks and diaries, and for me, my traveller’s notebook is perfect. I can have a few notebooks collected in one place, and just take one out as I finish it and add a new one.
One thing I do need though is a place to add bits and snips as I get them – receipts, colour swatches, magazine rip-outs (those ones from the doctor’s surgery that we all pinch and hope no one has seen us…!)
So I came up with a super simple insert for my traveller’s notebook that would give me a place to store them and still look pretty.
There aren’t any measurements as these notebooks vary in size, but the technique is there.
Oh and while I’m here, this picture of Berry helping me take photos made me smile. I battle with her and Sorrel when I’m taking photos, but I also battle with counterfeit companies (who make fake stamps and dies) stealing my photos to promote their fakes. I dislike putting my watermark across the project itself, so I’m doing a mix of things right now. However, looking at Berry’s claws, and they were barely out, I might just put her in each photo. She’d see off the image thieves and counterfeiters!

Ooooo, thanks for sharing Sam, I absolutely love traveller’s note books, a couple of On Stages ago, I made mini ones out of DSP for my swaps and laminated the covers, I had fun using up all my hoarded DSP! Lol I think I made 40, it was so much fun! I will defo be making a few of your insets to go in my homemade mini handbag TNB 🙂 Thank you 🙂
I love your posts. So sorry that people steal from you. I love the kitty idea.
Sending love and thanks from across the sea.
I like paper notebooks and calendars, too. And stickers, and pockets…and.
Thanks for all you do and share!
I was so upset that Berry wasn’t in the video!!!
Then…I read your post, realizing she is only in the stills you took. :)))
It’s awful that people take liberties and actually are bold enough to even steal!!! I’m so sorry that you, and so many other talented crafters, have to deal with that, Sam.
I am, however, thankful that you are sweet enough to share your brilliant ideas and God-given talent with us not-so-talented folks. :)))
God bless you, Hon!!! :)))
His,
