#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Perennial Essence with White Stamping
I am thoroughly enjoying playing with the new Perennial Essence DSP and matching Floral Essence stamp set.
Monet is the inspiration for the paper, and if you look closely, you can see the canvasesque look to the paper, as though the images have been oil painted straight onto it.
I wanted to keep the watery sort of look to my stamping, so I made use of my Stamparatus so that I could double ink with White Craft Ink to get a rich white rather than a washed out one which sometimes happens when you stamp white onto coloured cardstock.
Because the paper is so beautiful, I didn’t want to detract too much from it, so I went for a simple flag-tailed sentiment, set over Linen Thread, and the whole lot inked and sponged with Blackberry Bliss ink. Just touching up the colour on the edges really does make a difference and lifts the card.
Simple but lovely.
