#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Free as a British Garden Bird Ballad
I love wild birds. I have numerous bird feeders in my garden and love to sit and watch birds coming and going all day.
I’m working on encouraging a woodpecker right now – my neighbours recently felled some very well established trees in their garden (booo!) and sadly the woodpecker that was living there is now (at the time of writing) looking for a new home.
But I do get lots of smaller birds, finches, thrushes, sparrows, robins etc, and so my card today is inspired by them.
For those not familiar with British garden birds, from left to right we have a Robin, Bull Finch, Blue Tit and Green Finch.
And their song! Oh my, the sound of the birds in the garden is a delight and it’s lovely to hear them singing out in the early evening as they go off to roost.
So that’s why my card is perfect with the Bird Ballad DSP, my garden birds have many a song.
So grab your Blends and create some beautiful birds too.
Robin uses Cherry Cobbler light, Crumb Cake Light, Soft Suede Dark.
Bull Finch uses Basic Black Dark and Light, Cherry Cobbler Dark and colour lifter
Blue Tit uses Night of Navy Dark and Light, Daffodil Delight Light and Dark
Green Finch uses Old Olive Dark and Light, Mossy Meadow Dark, Colour Lifter.
And I used Crumb Cake dark on the branck with mossy meadow leaves and a dab of daffodil dlight on the flowers and on the fussy cut flower too.
Finally, I die cut the main panel and smaller sentiment with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

What a lovely card. I too love wild birds but…………. at 4am every morning I get the dawn chorus right outside my bedroom window. He sits on my next door neighbours tv arial which is right outside our window. Then when I am trying to get off to sleep we get Twit-Twoo…… a beautiful owl that sometimes sits on our fence! Then as you say during the day its tap-tap-tap with the woodpecker. Oh well, that’s what you get for living in woodlands!!
What a beautiful card! I am a total bird nerd. I live in the southern US, yet I know every bird on your card, lol. Good luck with the woodpecker, and thanks for sharing yet another wonderful project.
