Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Toile Tidings Perfect Plaid Box Tutorial
Question – are you a Plad or Played kind of Plaid person?
I hadn’t considered myself one or the other until I kept hearing people say ‘plad’. Now it does make sense, plait (as in hair!) is pronounced plat, yet for some reason, I cannot bring myself to say plad… it’s played. But is that a regional thing? I’m not sure!
But I’d love to know where you’re from and how you say it!
But back to the box. I really wanted to use the Toile Tidings (that’s ‘twaal’ not ‘toil’!!!!) and also loved the tree stamps and punch, so it was just a great combination of them all and I think these lovely little boxes will be perfect for little treats or maybe table favours at Christmas.
Oooo, maybe they would make nice boxes for children to gift to one another? And as you can get 2 from a sheet of cardstock, bit of a bargain right there!
And I thoroughly enjoyed using the Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, I don’t remember the last time I used it, but I certainly plan to use it more often! It’s lovely with the real red checks!
Anyway, have a super day,

Love your boxes x
Cute boxes Sam.
I’m from Manchester and I say plad. Now I’m living in Bristol, the people here still say plad.
Love those boxes will be making loads of them for Xmas thanks Sam , Made my first Christmas card yesterday one off many XX
I’ve never heard anyone pronounce plaid as ‘played’ and I’ve lived all over the place and worked with people from all over the world. The only other way of pronouncing it is if it’s the Welsh word for party as in Plaid Cymru (Party for Wales), which is pronounced ‘ply’d’. I love the boxes by the way. xx
This box is so stinkin’ cute!!! Love it…
New York City – plad for sure! Love the boxes!
LOVE these!
