Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Feels Like Frost Card Preview, with funny blooper
You know those ‘best laid plans’ and all that. Well, my ‘best laid plan’ went right out the window and you can almost hear me working it out in my head as the video progresses….
I won’t give the game away, but suffice it to say, I learned a lesson and hopefully I left you all with some laughs and giggles too!
But that aside, I adore this paper, it’s so beautiful. One side is silver and white in a whole load of different patterns, then the other side is full of beautiful photo realistic images of frosty days, frosty foliage and more.
My original card uses Highland Heather and Purple Posy, and the second one uses Seaside Spray and Blueberry Bushel. And how gorgeous are the die cut shapes?
Anyway, do go and enjoy the video, and I hope I give you a happy laugh today!

I have found that my Bigshot works better if I put a sheet of cardboard under the cardstock and die,,, and give it something to bite down into rather than the metal shims or the cardstock shim…. I use cereal boxes, ir something similar… cheap and disposable and always works!
Love you tutorials
Thanks Sam, good entertainment over my very early morning coffee! The card is still very lovely anyway. Thank you.
I love how your cards are always unfussy but full of WOW. I have so many Christmas sets that apart from the snow Globe suite I decided not to buy any more supplies this year….. WELL, that decision has gone out the window right now. I always vere away from DSP never quite sure how to use it, but these two cards just show what lovely effects can be obtained, and just one image to stamp. Thanks for all that you do to inspire as mere mortals. By the way, I find using Wax paper between the die and card stock helps too when cutting.
I am in NC USA and have some of the same things happen to me so do appreciate your videos, but most assuredly I appreciate the great tips and beautiful ideas you share. Keep up the good work
This was hysterical, Sam! Glad to see you have bloopers, too! Always saying “did you just do that, Angela”
My biggest issue is after die cutting pieces for a project…they disappear on my desk. Go figure! Thanks for sharing.
ps: the cards are just gorgeous.
