Stampin’ Up! #1 Demonstrator Pootles – Pootlers Weekend Team Retreat 2019
Well I’m utterly delighted to be sharing a round up of our amazing weekend just gone. We headed to the 4* Crowne Plaza Hotel in Birmingham and kicked off the event with a Leadership evening for all the demos in the team who are Silver title and above. It was a real privilege to welcome quite a few ladies into the evening who were with their own uplines – that tells me that I’m doing the right thing when senior leaders in my direct team are promoting senior leaders in theirs too!
I treated them to an evening of drinks and canapes with a gift for each of them. Mostly it was mingling and chatting and catching up with old friends and new friends, but I took the opportunity to make a couple of announcements and share some plans I have for the future and to pass on a message straight out of our home office too.
The concierge and team who were looking after us all evening were a playful team and when we came to have a group photo, there was more than a little giggling and teasing going on, and they snapped a photo at the perfect moment!
Saturday brought the whole team together, there were 47 of us including 2 who had flown over from Germany and another who had flown over from France! And of course, the others had come in from all over the UK!
I’d bought full suites for 3 of the team who had volunteered to create displays for us and everyone brought one or two projects to share as inspiration too. Amazing talents here! I’ll add the photos at the bottom for our display projects, there are so many of them!
We had 3 crafting projects that day as well as our infamous raffle, plus a really clever Quiz created by Sophie who flew in from France, plus wonderful food – an amazing spread for lunch, plus pastries all day long! Oh and coffee, endless coffee and speciality teas!
And of course as well as the crafting and food and fun, I had to put together a gift for all of the team, you saw yesterday the project they made with the stamp set I’d given them, but each of their bags had a quote on it. The quotes were all different colours and I did consider creating a rainbow of them, but it’s a good job I didn’t, the events team came and moved them all before I handed them out, so they could set up lunch!!
There was so much laughter and I’m sure my sides almost split on more than one occasion!
Sunday brought us more crafting and fun and games, and having forgotten to take a team photo on Saturday, we did manage to pull one together Sunday, but we were about 7 ladies down (some went home early, holiday, sick etc), but it was nice to get us all together.
And also having forgotten to get a ‘Generation’ photo on other occasions, it was really lovely to get a photo of me with Karen in my first level, Louise in Karen’s first level and Donna in Louise’s! We are 4 generations here!
And it was just the best weekend ever. I can’t wait for the next one – you’ll have to watch Saturday’s video to hear where we are headed next – I can barely contain myself, but you will definitely want to be part of our team to join us there…!
