#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Stampin’ Up! OnStage Swaps, Gifts, Photos and all!
Happy Saturday everyone!
I have a blog post for you today with a lot of photos from OnStage and a really long video (it cracks over 1 hour, so grab plenty of snacks and drinks to keep you going….!)
So OnStage Live is a longer event and rotates around our 3 regions of Europe, North America and the South Pacific, and it was Europe’s turn to host, so we all headed off to Germany on Wednesday for the start with the Leadership event of CentreStage. We were gifted some wonderful things which you’ll see in my video and it was a great evening to get together with senior title demos from around Europe (and some South Pacific and North America demos had flown in too!).
Thursday was a full day with check in, General Session and Late Night Stamping. We did have a couple of hours break and the English contingent of our team decided to stay in the venue to devour the catalogues. You’ll see a photo of many of them on the stairs!
Friday was another early start, and the event ended with me as the final presenter. While I’ve presented at smaller events before and to smaller groups, this was my first time in my 6 years as a demo, that I’ve gone up on main stage at a Live OnStage and I was more than a little nervous. So nervous I kicked off my presentation by introducing myself and that I’d been a demo “almost” 6 years. That’s not right at all, it’s 6.5 years, but who knows what threw me off to get that fact wrong!!!
After that, by the time I had had my microphone taken off and grabbed my bags from the green room, it was just my team left in the building (well, and the events team!) and we headed off into Dortmund for a team get together. In total there were 45 of us with 3 of my leaders bringing their own teams too. We had a lot of laughs and I have discovered that I can’t take a selfie with lots of people behind me. Unbeknownst to me, they were all waving and cheering as I was taking the photo, but a chap in a cherry picker (adjusting fairy lights) thought they were waving at him, so he then waved back, and mass hilarity took over!
Saturday brought us to yet another early start and long day, but every minute of it was amazing and throughout the whole event, there was lots of recognition going on and I was thrilled to see so many of my team get their recognition too.
Then Sunday was a semi restful day as 6 of us jumped in an oversized taxi to get to Essen for their Christmas Market. Except we turned up 3 hours early and spent time kicking our heels for a bit before enjoying a walk around and then meeting up with another group.
And of course, during this time, I was packing like a crazy thing, and if you’ve not seen the photos on my facebook page, you’ll perhaps be unaware that my entire full size suitcase was full of swaps and gifts. My clothes got jammed in my suitcase and I could only fit in scarves (which were acting as protectors!) and shoes into my main luggage.
And so that is why you’re in for a treat with an hours worth of swap sharing. It’s a longer video than perhaps it would have been had I just shared the swaps, but I stopped with each one to share a close up of the swap/gift maker’s name should you want to go and see their project on their own blog or channel.
So grab some snacks and a drink and settle in for a great share of amazing projects, and of course, check out the full gallery below – shout out to Sally Shaw and Mikaela Titheridge for the photos of me receiving recognition and presenting.
