#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Easy Fold Candy Cane Holder using 6×6 Paper
When you find pink candy canes in the UK, you gotta buy them when you see them. This year I’ve been on a mission to find traditional red and white striped candy canes (harder than you’d think) and while on my hunt, I stumbled across some from Swizzels Matlow. They were a bright pink and not much white on there. As a side note, I did find traditional red and white in the end – poundland, 12 for £1 in case anyone else is looking for proper old fashioned ones too!
Anyway, as soon as I saw bright pink candy canes, I knew I had to have them, and how I wanted to use them.
Not so much the traditional christmas at all is there on this project?! Who says Christmas can’t be pink and blue or pink and purple…?
And it’s such an easy pouch to put together. No scoring, minimal glue (and only if absolutely essential) and just super pretty.
Do enjoy the video, and if you’re like me and get a little obsessed about anything traditionally festive, do let me know that I’m not alone…!

Oh Sam, you are so not the only one who really loves all things Christmas, so do I. Like you I decorate every room in the house, except the spare bedrooms that are not useed, but if we had anyone staying over Christmasit would get decorated like the rest of the house. Each room and tree are a different colour, but the trees all have warm white lights but then other colours to decorate. We don’t stop there either, we also put lights outside, round the balcony, and along the front of the house. We have old fashioned lanterns in each of the front corners and in the middle we have reindeers. We have 11 houses in our road and we are the only house that has any form of lights at all over the Christmas period and it looks so welcoming. We are very lucky this week as the weather is going to be sunny, though cold but we will be putting the outside decs out this weeks – perfect………..
Cute! The mints are called either Peppermint Starlite or Peppermint Star Brites depending on the brand.
🙂
Here in Wisconsin, they’re called Starlight Mints and they come in lots of different colors and flavors.
Do you need me to send you a bag of the peppermint candies?
