#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Bonanza Buddies Easy Layered Card Idea
If you have children like my boys, you’ll know just how it feels when you hear the words “Mum, it’s XYZ’s birthday today and I want to give him a card” or even worse the “It’s XYZ’s birthday party this afternoon, sorry I forgot to tell you, but I reeeeaaaaally want to go”.
Yes, I’m pretty sure we have all been there, and though 2 of my boys are past this age (that’s a bit sad really!), I still have 2 who drop this sort of information on me at zero notice!
Today’s card is an easy layered card with minimal stamping and die cutting, and maximum kudos-points-for-Mum impact…!
Layered cards are a great emergency card as you just grab scraps to hand and that’s the bulk of the card made. I simply stamped and die cut the lion (super fast too!) and popped him on the card and added a trio of those tiny pompoms on too.
Though you can’t see it, I did colour the lion’s Mango Melody mane with wink of stella – (my Bengal cat Berry, who is descended from the Asian Leopard, has fur that has a rare phenomenon of ‘glittering’ on it, so why can’t this guy?) – but you could leave off the glitter if you wanted to…!
So if you’re emergency crafting anytime soon, keep ‘layered cards’ in the back of your mind!
