#1 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Pootles – Beautiful Day with Blends Alcohol Markers in Purples
This is such a great stamp set. With 2 huge statement images, perfectly designed for colouring, I love how this butterfly looks.
We don’t have Purple Posy ink, but we do have Blends in those colours, and while the colour is very similar to Highland Heather second generation stamping, it was a great opportunity to use them together in Blends form.
The darker purple parts of the wings are the Highland Heather and the paler ones are Purple Posy.
I always lay down the palest colour of the blends first and go over with the darker one and then come in again with the pale. It gives you a lovely gradient look.
If you’re not yet familiar with Blends or have been wary of trying them out, either of these will be a good pair to start with – you can really see the colour differences on them.
So I hope you have a super day, and if you’re playing with blends today, let me know!
